Amy Lou Adams Amy Lou Adams (born on 20th August, 1974 in Aviano Italy). American actress. She is known for her role as naive adorable characters. Adams was raised in Italy as her father worked in the U.S. military and she grew up living in Castle Rock Colorado as one of seven kids. In the late 1990s, she began performing professionally and dancing at Boulder's Dinner Theatre and Country Dinner Playhouse. Following her move to Minnesota, she starred in an undocumentary-style film called Drop Dead Gorgeous (1998) about beauty pageants. She moved to Los Angeles after making her debut on screen as the snarky but good-natured contestant. Her husband Tony Curtis was her partner from June 1950 to September 1992. Her children included, Kelly Curtis as well as Jamie Lee Curtis. Leigh's film career began after signing a MGM contract in the mid-1940s. The actress was discovered by actress and model Norma shearer. Through the years that followed, she appeared in many popular films including Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho (1960), and Living It Up by Martin and Lewis (a 1954 film).
