I was a gruelling 12 hour days cleaning floors and tear down wallpaper one baby strapped to my back and the others climbing into the playpen. Ha! The whole thing was beginning to form, but there was still a long way to go. The house would need a great deal of effort and an enthusiasm of shopping. In order to stay within my budget, I began attending estate sales along with my three boys searching for diamonds in the rough. Markets in town had room for me to market my items. I was able to outgrow the market because I had numerous pieces I could use. I hosted open houses at my house where 1 000 people could visit during a weekend. they could purchase anything on the first level. Growing Days is the result from this. Alongside my flourishing company, I also started our family. I was balancing the demands of having starting a business while also being a mommy. Growing Days seemed like the best combination. My sweet Nora was born in 2013, our fourth child. This was an excellent direction for my company, however I was also in need of a vacation. I took a break from the old furniture in order to spend some quality time with my kids. That was exactly what I needed at that moment. Within a couple of months, the phone began to begin to. I was getting calls from people needing help with decorating their homes and interior improvements. Most of these people were the ones who had strolled through my house during open house for furniture! Then I slowly took on new clients in my own way. Soon I had multiple customers and was operating an enterprise of renovations to homes. Most likely, I would have laughed if someone had told me the venture was going to be the premise of an upcoming television show on DIY Network. Even now, when I think about the circumstances I am laughing.
